PENANGGUHAN KULIAH AKIBAT JEREBU

Merujuk kepada situasi semasa mengenai keadaan jerebu yang telah sampai ke paras bahaya di beberapa tempat di negeri Melaka ketika ini serta keputusan Kerajaan Negeri Melaka yang telah mengumumkan penutupan sekolah, Pengurusan Tertinggi UiTM Melaka telah memutuskan agar semua kuliah ditangguhkan mulai esok (Isnin 24 Jun 2013) sehingga pengumuman baru dikeluarkan. Namun begitu, urusan pentadbiran harian berjalan seperti biasa.

Walau bagaimanapun, semua warga UiTM Melaka dinasihatkan senantiasa memakai penutup hidung ketika berada di luar rumah dan pejabat untuk memastikan kesihatan tidak terjejas.

Dato' Naib Canselor menghadap Tuanku Canselor

KUALA LUMPUR 5 Disember 2011- Naib Canselor, Dato' Prof. Ir. Dr. Dr. –Ing. E.h. Sahol Hamid bin Abu Bakar hari ini menghadap Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, bagi mengucapkan junjungan kasih atas perkhidmatan Baginda selama lima tahun sebagai Canselor Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Majlis berlangsung di Istana Terengganu, Kuala Lumpur, jam 12.00 tengahari.

Dalam majlis tersebut Seri Paduka Baginda telah berkenan menerima persembahan cenderakenangan daripada pihak UiTM yang berupa sebuah buku bertajuk 'Menjunjung Kasih Tuanku Canselor: Koleksi Kenangan 5 Tahun Bersama UiTM (2007 – 2011): Budi disemai semerbak wangi, Tuanku junjungan mengharum universiti' terbitan Jabatan Komunikasi Korporat dan dua buah lukisan potret Baginda dan juga Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong yang dihasilkan oleh En. Suhaimi Tohid, pensyarah Fakulti Senilukis dan Senireka. Dato' Naib Canselor telah menyembah ucapan menjunjung kasih atas komitmen Baginda yang amat tinggi sebagai Canselor UiTM. Baginda juga telah banyak memberi ilham dan idea untuk perkembangan universiti ini.

Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin akan tamat tempoh perkhidmatan sebagai Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Malaysia ke-13 pada 12 Disember ini. Baginda mengucapkan terima kasih kepada pihak UiTM serta warganya, yang telah memberi layanan yang amat baik setiap kali berangkat ke majlis-majlis universiti. Baginda mendoakan agar hasrat UiTM menghasilkan pemenang Hadiah Nobel Malaysia pertama akan menjadi kenyataan, dan UiTM akan terus cemerlang melahirkan lebih ramai para graduan yang bertaraf dunia.

Book Review : From A to Zine
